Facilities Management Safety Leader

  • Monday to Friday role with frequent travel to site

We are seeking applications from experienced Safety Leaders for a Full-Time role based in Brisbane or Perth, with occasional travel to work sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to further their careers in a global organization by leading safety initiatives that support our strong safety culture across all levels of the business. You will guide a team of safety professionals and ensure the implementation of a robust safety management system.

The Position

  • Guide senior leaders in safety behaviours and initiatives to improve operational safety, ensuring these efforts are championed by operational teams.
  • Oversee the DeltaFM safety management system and safety plans, ensuring compliance, implementing improvements, and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Develop, administer, and track safety improvement programs to maintain high safety standards across regional operations.
  • Support the company in maintaining certifications aligned with Australian and International standards through the HSEQ audit program.
  • Assist with incident investigations, ensuring a thorough root cause analysis is conducted and corrective actions are implemented. Maintain accurate records in the incident management database.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by demonstrating how our safety programs manage their risks and contribute to their business goals.
  • Participate in tender preparations and customer presentations, including the development of comprehensive Management Plans.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse safety performance data and trends to identify improvement opportunities. Provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Assist with the selection, onboarding, and management of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with safety standards.

The Person

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and enhancing safety operations, including a strong capability to influence senior leaders and promote HSEQ standards.
  • Lead a growing team of dedicated safety professionals, ensuring alignment with company safety goals and regulatory compliance across all operations.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSEQ programs in multi-service environments.
  • Degree/Diploma in a relevant field and/or a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • ICAM investigation qualifications and strong root cause analysis skills (preferred).
  • Experience with RapidGlobal subcontractor management software is an advantage.
