Levy are searching for the next group of upcoming new culinary talent. They are offering 6 positions in their newly formed Chef Apprenticeship Program. If successful, you will undertake a fully funded, 3-year Commercial Cookery Apprenticeship and work alongside and be mentored by experienced world class chefs at one of Melbourne's most exciting entertainment and sporting precincts, Melbourne Park. 

About the role:

  • This is a full time, 3-year chef apprenticeship, paid position. At completion, you will receive a Trade Certified, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • You will be required to attend training 1 day a week on campus at a registered training organisation (RTO). This will also be a paid day.
  • Uniforms and knife kits supplied.
  • Be mentored by some amazing chefs who have developed their passion for food from all over the world.
  • If you have previous work experience in the kitchen, you may have the opportunity to fast track your apprenticeship through Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) of some units.
  • An opportunity to work in different kitchen offerings around the venue as well as some world class events such as the Australian Open. 

About You:

  • Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Have a can do, flexible and positive attitude towards work and learning.
  • Be punctual and available to travel daily to Melbourne Park and Melbourne CBD for work and training.
  • Be committed to complete the 3-year program.
  • Previous experience or exposure to a workplace kitchen is desirable but not essential. 
  • Most importantly, have a genuine interest in all things culinary and be a real "foodie". 

*International students are not able to complete an apprenticeship under the Australian Government Apprenticeship Program.

Recruitment Process:

Candidates successfully selected for an interview must be able to attend in person at Melbourne Park on Wednesday 14th May 2025.

Candidates who are successfully selected for the program must be available to start mid June 2025.
