The Position
The Retail Category Specialist will provide day-to-day support to the National Manager - Retail in executing retail strategy and ensuring the smooth operation of retail services across multiple categories and sectors.
The role will manage various categories across food & beverage, FMCG, front of store, vending, focusing on delivering strategy, SRM, sourcing and range, price, promotions, tracking performance to commercial KPIs, and will play a role in negotiation and contract management. The role will also provide support to stores and focus on improving operational efficiency.
The Retail Category Specialist will also play a key role in monitoring retail performance, providing insights, and collaborating with various teams to support retail growth and innovation.

The Person
Qualifications, Skills, Qualities and Experience
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail, (Supermarket, FMCG), or Supplier
- Retail Knowledge: Experience and understanding of retail operations, consumer behaviour, and product sales strategies, industry best-practice
- Problem-Solving: Identify issues and contribute to finding solutions that improve operational performance
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the business
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills to track performance and provide actionable insights, strong excel capability
- Project Support: Experience supporting the implementation of projects and initiatives in a retail or service environment
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field
- Relevant experience or certifications in retail operations, hospitality, or customer service are advantageous
Please note: This role will be based in our Sydney office. North Sydney area, Mitchell Steet, McMahons Point NSW 2060.
