The Officer Compliance Training is a site-based role responsible for supporting the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Olympic Dam Integrated Management System (IMS), with a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
The Position:
A key role in coaching, training, and mentoring site-based operational stakeholders to ensure compliance with Compass Group Australia standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations. Working closely with the Olympic Dam Safety Lead and HSEQ team, the role supports the practical application and ongoing effectiveness of site-based systems and processes.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and auditing of the site’s Integrated Management System (IMS) across HSEQ functions
- Coach and mentor operational leaders and frontline teams to build capability in compliance, safe systems of work, and quality standards
- Assist with internal audits, inspections, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to company, client, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for compliance documentation, training, licences, and certifications
- Support the delivery and tracking of Learning & Development requirements through Compass Learning systems (Compass Academy)
- Partner with the HSEQ team to identify gaps, drive improvements, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented
- Facilitate and support site-based training initiatives, inductions, and competency assessments
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture through consistent engagement, coaching, and visible leadership
The Person:
- Minimum of 2 years track record working as a HSE/HSEQ Governance, Quality or HSEQ systems or organisational systems Administrator.
- A demonstrated capability in influencing team members, peers and leaders of the business to implement across the board HSEQ requirements, processes, standards and procedures as relates to systems management and compliance.
- Certificate/Degree/Diploma in relevant field (desirable)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, web-based software applications and a high level of computer literacy in general
- Demonstrable experience in supporting the implementation of HSEQ initiatives and coaching and guiding leadership.
