The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead the operational delivery of services across the Single LEAP 1 & 2 Defence contracts and the Queensland Schools Project, ensuring full compliance with Project Deeds and Service Specifications within a Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
You will provide management oversight across all service streams, performance monitoring, reporting and asset management activities, while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement across a diverse multi-site portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end operational delivery across Defence and Education contracts, ensuring compliance with Project Deeds, Service Specifications and contractual obligations
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to Regional Managers to achieve business objectives and contract outcomes
- Managing performance monitoring, reporting and asset management programs to ensure service excellence and compliance
- Building and maintaining strong client, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships to support long-term partnerships and contract success
- Managing contracts and subcontractors to deliver quality, compliance, safety and value outcomes
- Driving a strong safety culture through the implementation and promotion of Compass Group's Safety Culture Framework, ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and emergency management requirements
- Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and achievement of financial targets
- Supporting talent attraction, development and retention strategies to build high-performing teams across multiple sites
- Identifying opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, contract retention and business growth
- Ensuring effective delivery of integrated facilities management services, including maintenance, cleaning, grounds and asset lifecycle activities
- Reviewing, implementing and enhancing policies, procedures and operational standards to drive excellence and consistency
- Delivering accurate and timely operational, compliance and performance reports
- Conducting regular site audits to ensure compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing and delivering training programs to enhance capability and operational performance across the portfolio
About You
You are a proactive and experienced operational leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record managing complex, multi-site facilities management contracts within highly regulated environments.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations and facilities management portfolios
- Strong leadership capability with demonstrated success developing and supporting high-performing teams
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups, clients and subcontractor relationships
- Strong understanding of Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract environments and performance-based service delivery models
- Demonstrated experience managing contract compliance, performance monitoring and asset management frameworks
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation and financial performance management
- Minimum 10 years' leadership experience within facilities management or a related industry
- In-depth knowledge of Work Health & Safety, environmental standards and compliance requirements
- Solid understanding of Integrated Facilities Management best practices
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify business improvement, contract retention and growth opportunities
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
- Advanced computer and systems proficiency
- A commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement outcomes
Additional Information
- Full-time position working a Monday-Friday, 38-hour week
- Regular travel required across Australia to support the LEAP Defence contracts and throughout South East Queensland to support the Queensland Schools Project
