THE POSITION

• Support the Venue Manager in leading, coaching and motivating a high‑performing team to deliver a consistent 5‑star customer experience.
• Assist in the rollout of new food and beverage concepts, ensuring quality, presentation and brand standards are always on point.
• Drive local marketing and promotional activity to build the café’s profile and increase foot traffic.
• Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring smooth service flow, premium product quality, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to commercial performance by managing labour, minimising waste, and identifying upsell opportunities.
• Help shape the culture of a brand‑new venue and support the mobilisation of future outlets within the precinct.

THE PERSON

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within busy cafés, retail food spaces, or high‑street hospitality venues.
• A natural people‑leader with strong communication skills and the ability to coach, delegate and energise a team.
• A proactive operator who loves optimising sales, improving service flow, and elevating the customer experience.
• Confident contributing to new concept launches, menu presentation, and promotional activity.
• Highly organised with experience in rosters, stock control, ordering and daily operational systems.
• Adaptable, resilient and energised by fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
• Solid working knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and workplace health & safety requirements.
