THE POSITION

• Assist with preparing, cooking and presenting fresh meals
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Wash and clean kitchen utensils, equipment, crockery and catering items
• Support meal service, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Maintain hygiene standards and follow food handling practices
• Support healthy eating needs, including allergens and dietary requirements
• Work as part of a team of Kitchen Hands in a large-scale catering environment servicing approximately 1,500-2,000 students daily
• Assist across multiple meal service periods delivered through a tiered service approach

THE PERSON

• Friendly, reliable and customer focused
• Previous hospitality, kitchen hand or dishwashing experience preferred
• Organised and adaptable with confidence in busy settings
• Enjoys teamwork and learning new skills
• POS experience is desirable
• Able to obtain a National Police Check and a Working With Children Check (WWCC)

LOCATION

Sydney

This role is based within a school environment. Please note the kitchen is located approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the main road bus stop through the school grounds. Applicants with their own transport will find access easier, and there is plenty of free onsite parking available.

The site operates a large commercial kitchen with extensive wash-up facilities, where Kitchen Hands work collaboratively with other team members to support daily operations.
