What you’ll do

The Safer Gambling teams are responsible for executing safer gambling business controls across wagering and media. This includes executing processes and controls around marketing and promotions, self-exclusion and customer monitoring of customers potentially experiencing gambling harm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct customer monitoring and analyse data to identify customers potentially experiencing gambling harm
  • Follow intervention protocols according to policies, including completing calls to customers identified as potentially experiencing harm
  • Respond to queries from business teams (e.g. customer service centre, retail venues, etc.) and external queries (e.g. community services, regulators)
  • Process self-exclusion applications, renewals breaches and revocations.
  • Be the first escalation point for and manage complex customer and/or regulator complaints.
  • Review marketing and advertising to ensure its compliant with responsible advertising guidelines
  • Complete reviews of new initiatives and products for their impact on customers and safer gambling objectives

Please note that the nature of this role requires availability for extended hours from 8am-8pm including weekends.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working with highly regulated businesses/industries and knowledge of various legislation (e.g. AML/CTF, Safer Gambling, Wagering, Privacy etc.) – preferable, but not mandatory.
  • Entry level experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, consulting or process improvement with a medium to large sized corporate organisation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a commercial, risk management or business-related field - preferable
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
