  • Base salary range: $112,114 – $122,544 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Office of Research is responsible for formulating and providing policy advice, and for developing and implementing procedures to effectively coordinate and administer externally and internally funded research activities which enhance the University’s research reputation. The Sponsored Research office is responsible for the procurement and administration of internally and externally funded research grants, contracts and postdoctoral research fellowships.

About the opportunity

  • Take a lead role in coordinating activities of the Post Award Team in the administration of the University’s internally and externally funded research grants.
  • Support strategic initiatives, coordinate the provision of services from other professional areas, and provide troubleshooting and advice to all members of the university’s research community.
  • Manage a team focused on the administrative post award operations of the university, providing excellent client focussed support services.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Extensive experience in operations management within research, government, or commercial settings, with expertise in governance, compliance frameworks, and policy implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and enhancing service delivery within a complex organisational environment.
  • A proactive mindset regarding the use of digital tools and operational systems, utilizing technology to enhance administrative efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a small team and provide training and development
