About the role

Reporting to the Head Finance Systems, you will act as a strategic enabler, ensuring that financial data flows seamlessly across departments, systems are optimised for performance, and the business can scale efficiently with strong financial controls.

As Finance Systems Analyst you’ll be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing financial systems (Epicor, ARM, ECM, IDC, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Icare & CareLink), to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency within the aged care sector. This role connects Finance, Operations and IT, ensuring systems meet the evolving needs of aged care providers and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing:

  • Financial acumen: Enable financial accuracy and integrity while driving efficiency and automation, supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring system scalability and integration, and delivering excellent user experience.
  • System Management & Support: Maintain data integrity and administer financial systems e.g., Epicor, IDC, ECM, ARM, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or similar ERP platforms.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement system enhancements to improve financial reporting and operational workflows. Lead initiatives to streamline financial workflows and reduce manual data entry. Evaluate and recommend system or technology enhancements aligned with sector needs.
  • Data Governance & Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all financial systems. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Excel. Support month-end and year-end financial processes through system-generated reports. Build and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs for executive and operational reporting.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • CPA/CA qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sector highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with aged care funding models and compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of system integration, data migration, and automation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend system or process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Finance and operational systems such as Epicor, ARM, ECM, IDC, FP&A, iCare, and CareLink.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Reform and Funding Models (e.g., AN-ACC, Support at Home Program).
  • Experience aligning financial systems with changing compliance and funding requirements.
  • Experience with system implementations or upgrades (Epicor, IDC, ARM, ECM, and FP&A).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
