About the role
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll provide comprehensive assessments, interventions, and therapies to elderly consumers under the CHSP and other funding programs. This 12-month fixed-term role is a maternity leave cover, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting clients to achieve their goals. You’ll partner with clients to deliver tailored support that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing.
You will also:
- Conduct home and clinic-based assessments
- Deliver OT interventions aligned with aged care standards and funding guidelines
- Prescribe assistive technologies, equipment, and recommend home modifications
- Prepare reports and liaise with My Aged Care, GPs, case managers, and other providers
- Meet billable hours and maintain accurate documentation
- Travel across aged care planning regions as required
About you
You’re a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience in assessments, care planning, and professional report writing. You’re confident working with a diverse range of stakeholders and excel at building strong, respectful relationships. Your communication skills and collaborative approach help you deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in person-centred OT service delivery and report writing
- Knowledge of ageing-related conditions and disability support
- Familiarity with CHSP, HCP, SWEP, Geat2Go, and My Aged Care
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and ethical practice
- Victorian driver’s licence, Police Check, and valid working rights in Australia
