The University is seeking an Associate Professor to provide leadership in academic and research areas of Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Urban Design within the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology.

The Associate Professor is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline. 

To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD in Landscape Architecture or a related area of Architectural Research.
  • Established undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching skills including design studio teaching, course coordination, supervision and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and leadership in curriculum development with a proven commitment to excellence in teaching and use of innovative teaching methods and materials.
  • An established international reputation for research within the discipline area including successful funding, outstanding outputs, HDR supervision to completion.
  • Demonstrated design ability with distinctive and innovative design practice projects including capacity to link disciplinary knowledge of landscape architecture with natural systems and work across a range of scales and disciplines.
  • Proven ability to build sustainable relationships with a range of community and industry partners and evidence of the ability to promote research links with outside organisations.
