WorkCover Queensland is now seeking a strategic and commercially astute Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in a new role designed to bring greater transparency, forward looking insights and strategic value adding advice to decision making. This critical leadership role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will lead a team across long-term financial planning and modelling, budgeting, forecasting, project costing, data analytics, insights, and performance analysis to deliver on an ambitious 2030 strategy.
The successful candidate will play a central role in strengthening WorkCover Queensland’s financial frameworks and strategic decision-making capability. This includes leading the delivery of timely, high-quality insights and reporting to the Executive,Board, and other decision makers and stakeholders.
As the organisation continues to evolve in a dynamic environment, the Head of FP&A will bring a future-focused mindset, providing commercial advice and guidance across the business.
The appointee will be responsible for leading and building a high-performing FP&A function, embedding a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and strong fiscal discipline. As a trusted advisor to the CFO and broader leadership group, this role will influence both operational and strategic priorities across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally within a regulated or complex service organisation with an understanding of the drivers of business performance in insurance or financial services more broadly. CA or CPA qualifications are required with a strong track record in financial planning, business performance, and management reporting. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership capability are essential, along with the ability to operate with commerciality, curiosity, and sound judgement.
