We're looking for a Senior Manager, Delivery to join the Transformation Delivery team.
Specifically, the role is responsible for driving project success, working closely with internal stakeholders, at various levels within WorkCover Qld, to ensure the success of transformation through:

Oversee the day-to-day execution of programs and projects, manage and resolve risks, issues and interdependencies, as a primary point of escalation for project teams.

Actively supporting and contributing to the uplift of transformation Delivery capability through mentoring and coaching project teams and driving initiatives to continually improve the maturity of delivery practices

Provide leadership and set the strategic direction, mission, and vision of the unit in alignment with defined strategic and operational objectives.
About the Position:
Reporting to the Head of Transformation Delivery and participating in the Transformation Delivery Leadership Team, this is a critical role that enables our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer and make a positive difference to people's lives.
The primary purpose is to provide a high level of expertise and proficiency in delivering transformation and change projects, from initiation through to completion. The scope encompasses portfolio, program and project management, delivery office, small change and IT sustainment.
You'll contribute to:

Overseeing transformation and continuous improvement initiatives ensuring alignment with established timeframes, budgets, quality standards, and expected Business Case Benefits

Guiding the development and implementation of relevant frameworks and support policies for the Transformation Delivery portfolios

Developing and maintaining a portfolio roadmap, including timelines, resource plans, and interdependencies

Oversee the establishment and management of the transformation delivery office

Proactively managing risks and issues leveraging frameworks and tools for prompt identification

Delivering portfolio of programs and projects, leveraging effective standardised project management processes
-
Driving improvement to the delivery organisation's performance and output

Fostering communities of practice and promoting the use of best practices
-
Providing financial oversight through robust estimation, forecasting and cost management practices

Role modelling a high-performance culture adhering to expected behaviours and standards

Nurturing a safe and inclusive team culture promoting engagement and high performance
A bit about you:
-
A minimum of 15 years managing projects in complex enterprise environments with at least 5 years in program or portfolio management capacity

Tertiary qualification in business or similar discipline with post graduate qualifications highly regarded

Certifications in Project Management and Portfolio Management (PRINCE2, MSP, P3O)

Deep experience leading transformation programs in digital transformation, operational excellence or enterprise-wide system implementations

Proven experience in leading complex transformation programs with demonstrated ability to deliver projects from initiation through to completion within scope, budget and timeline

Sound understanding of how organisational change management activities are derived from information such as stakeholders, scope, and business process to support implementation

Ability to effectively explore alternate views, ideas and positions to reach outcomes that gain all parties' support and acceptance
