Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, providing expert security guidance for new and existing technology initiatives. 

  • Develop and maintain security frameworks, standards, and guidelines aligned with industry frameworks (eg. NIST, ISO27001) and in line with WorkCover’s security posture. 

  • Conduct security risk assessments, business impact analyses, and vulnerability assessments to ensure WorkCover’s security risk remains within appetite. 

  • Create and maintain secure architectural blueprints and design patterns. 

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions. 

  • Engage with business and technology stakeholders to promote security best practices across the organisation. 

  

A bit about you: 

  • 10+ years in information security, including 5+ years in security architecture. 

  • Expertise in AWS cloud security and AWS Well-Architected Framework. 

  • Familiarity with ISO, NIST, CCM v4, SABSA, TOGAF. 

  • Certifications such as CISSP and AWS Well Architected. 

  • Experience with Microsoft security product suites (Entra, Defender, Intune, etc.). 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
