Role Profile: 

A “hands-on” technical role with a focus on quality. 

With a clear understanding of Systems and Graphical User Interface (GUI) design and standards, Testers are highly proficient in designing test suites and in using various testing techniques.  

Requires flexibility, accuracy and a strong sense of ownership. 

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

Analyse requirements and the test data needs. 

Create test cases, scripts and traceability matrix. 

Run the defect triage calls effectively with the support of Lead/manager. 

Coordinate with the development teams (including vendor) to ensure that  

Help analyse the impact of the change on the system and identify regression test cases. 

Execute the test cases manually/automated. 

Automate the test cases from the regression pack. 

Present test-case walk-through. 

Following the required set standards 

Analyzing the testing results and submitting the report to the development team 

Ensure that the testing is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures 

Ensure that test-product documentation is complete 

Focus on continuous testing improvements  

Responsibility for the maintenance of QA environments across products, working closely with the delivery teams to define an optimal solution for each platform

Knowledge & Experience

Large scale cloud implementation in TOSCA 

Setting up the best practice and process for TOSCA automation with CI/CD. 

Demonstrated capabilities in designing and implementing enterprise level automation frameworks 

Gain insights on the pain areas in Production and leverage regression coverage 

Automated Environment Readiness validations to ensure seamless migrations 

Assessment and Customization of automation framework to suite applications or business landscape of a function 

Should be well versed with Tricentis Tosca features 

Should be able to build/form and norm automation team and manage/handle day to day activities of automation working with the team 

Should be able to publish status and walk through the same with them 

Act as a subject matter expert on Automation best practices and seemlessly interact with CI/CD, release engineering, infrastructure, cloud, development, compliance tools teams 

Creates Automation Test Plan and Strategy 

Tracks the progress of Automation activities and derives ROI 

Able to choose relevant automation tools and strategy for different needs. Passionate about keeping up to date with emerging technology to ascertain when, how, and if it should be used 

Ability to visualize the complete testing life cycle from requirements gathering to products/features 

Skills: 

Experience in Automation Tosca

Must have 3-5 years of Software testing experience and must have a solid knowledge of Performance Testing fundamentals and its application. 

Development or modification of automation framework 

Review Automation script development, modification and execution 

Address technical challenges during automation 

Closely work with transformation team to build automation transformation plan, define technical roadmap to achieve transformation .
