The role

Your role as IT Solution Architect will provide architectural guidance to key business stakeholders and help to deliver and evolve the IT Strategic Roadmap. As part of our inhouse Technology team, this role will also play an integral part in a high number of important projects across the entire business, providing recommendations on potential problems and architecting solutions.  We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and an appreciation for the manner in which the customer experience expectations have changed due the evolution of the digital landscape.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role is perfectly suited to an emerging technology architect or design orientated system professional, looking to be a part of a high performing team and who thrives in transformational environments.

What does the role involve?

• Architect and Design solutions to deliver business outcomes
• Collaborate as part of broader architecture across several key projects regarding architectural definition, design, and documentation
• Take responsibility for architectural compliance across the business initiatives
• Play a key consultancy role across the IT department to assists with defining the current environment
• Perform risk assessment on key architectural decisions across a wide variety of projects
• Act as point of escalation for technical and implementation issues encountered by project and development teams
• Maintain and update documentation of key processes to facilitate solutions and architectural decisions

What are we looking for?

• Tertiary qualified individual – degree in Computer Science or other IT-related area
• Proven experience either within a Solution Architecture role or a design lead systems analyst
• Someone who understands or has an appreciation for customer behaviours
• Other beneficial system knowledge includes: AWS, Salesforce, Oracle Retail, and iPaaS solutions
• Ability to build strong relationships and translate technical language into easily understandable terms
• A curious mind and well-developed learning agility
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple domains (e.g. Retail, Customer Facing, CRM, etc.)
• Experience within the Retail industry or with eCommerce platforms highly regarded
