Job Summary: The Instructional Technologist III uses pedagogically sound principles to assist faculty with the integration of technology into instruction to enhance teaching and learning. Provides leadership to the team. Collaborates with the faculty development and learning resources administrative staff to provide instructional technology information and resolve issues. May train, assist, or supervise entry level staff.
Additional Department Summary: Leads the support of the instructional use of technology testing of user features in the learning management system (LMS) and other instructional technologies. Performs testing of user features in the learning management system, especially as updates are made to the LMS and to tools that are connected to the system. Communicates with the CIT Education & Outreach team regarding support issues or testing results that require new or updated resources for faculty, students, or staff. Participates in decision-making regarding the workflow and collaboration in CIT ticketing and reporting. Provides back-up support for selected LMS functional administration tasks, Web 2.0 and social media tools. Plays a key role in the development and delivery of the orientation and training of CIT graduate student assistants.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of instructional technology experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of instructional technology experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Must be able to work well in a team environment, communicate well, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing support for variety of instructional technologies in a higher education setting
