Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, 20 hours per week


Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs routine and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.


Additional Department Summary: Provides administrative support to the Shakespeare Association of America and managing its daily business. Provides assistance with the planning of the annual conference. Oversees membership database. Handles and records organization finances including direct deposits and phone transactions. Manages all routine membership join and renewal processes. Works collaboratively with staff at conference sites before, during, and after the annual conference.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or higher.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong work ethic and independent motivation and drive. Ability to quickly pivot between tasks and adeptly work through new challenges. Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with teams. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with accounting systems and practices. Ability to quickly pick up new skills with independent training.


Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with member platforms (Memberclicks, etc.). Familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress software.
