Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Financial Aid Assistant I provides assistance to parents and students regarding financing educational costs at the University. Supports financial aid in enrollment management initiatives.


Additional Department Summary: Provides administrative support with various aspects of data verification and authenticity of a large number of financial aid worksheets, verification forms, federal tax returns and W-2 forms in accordance with federal regulations. Generates letters and email notifications to students and parents regarding financial aid requirements. Posts external funds received by students that are considered when awarding Title IV Federal Aid.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associate’s degree.


Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software (word processing, spreadsheet and-or database management programs). Good organizational skills.
