Normal Work Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday 7:45am to 10:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm to 7:00pm

Job Summary: The Computer Lab Monitor supports the daily operations of the Barefield College of Arts & Sciences computer labs. Provides front-line support to students by answering questions. Resolves basic technical issues. Ensures that computer and printing equipment is functioning properly. Maintains a clean and orderly lab environment. Opens and closes the lab according to posted hours. 


Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama undergraduate student with a 2.25 GPA or higher. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed. Mobility is a must as you will have to walk to multiple lab spaces during shifts.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Approachable, mindful of others, and helpful.


Preferred Qualifications: Help desk and/or computer lab experience with minor computer troubleshooting experience.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
