Minimum requirements:
Education:
-
An advanced University Degree in marketing, international development, business administration, advertising or a degree in social sciences or any related field
- A first University Degree in social sciences or any other relevant field, combined with 2 additional years (minimum 7 years in total) of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree or any other relevant discipline.
Work Experience:
- At least five years of practical professional work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in resource mobilization from the private sector is required.
- Experience of the entire fundraising lifecycle (identification to close) with successful closures, preferably in a fast-paced, long sales cycle environment, is required.
- Ability to independently lead strategic engagements with CXOs, Founders, and senior leadership of large corporates or multinationals; with a strong executive presence and excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills is desired.
- Deep understanding of corporate funding structures, CSR priorities, and decision-making processes, backed by a robust private sector network that unlocks relevant, qualified leads and accelerates partnership development, is desired.
- Strong experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations, coordinating with cross-functional teams (legal, programmes, marketing, etc.) is desired.
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
Desirables:
- Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.
