The Corporate Partnerships team, part of UNICEF’s Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) section, plays a vital role in advancing UNICEF’s mission by collaborating with individuals, corporations, philanthropists, foundations, and faith-based organizations to generate income and influence. Focused on maximizing the value of partnerships, the team secures financial resources and other impactful assets to support UNICEF’s strategic goals, while also managing relationships with key corporate partners and identifying new opportunities for collaboration. How can you make a difference?
The post holder will work under the leadership of the Corporate Fund Raising Specialist (High Value Partnership) – NO-3 in São Paulo, Brazil Country Office. The incumbent will prospect and secure new business opportunities in-line with UNICEF Brazil’s strategic objectives and UNICEF’s internal risk management policies. This position will also drive the identification and development of cross-channel funding streams and can be asked to manage relationships with existing strategic partners. will also supervise the Marketing Services team. Some key activities include:
1. Strategy, Planning and Reporting
- Support the development and implementation of the corporate partnership's strategy aligned with UNICEF Brazil’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor and report on key corporate trends and discussions in Brazil and the region to inform strategic planning and partnership development.
- Ensure all partnership agreements are implemented in full compliance with UNICEF Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) policies and guidelines.
2. Prospect Identification and Cultivation
- Prospect and secure new business partnerships that contribute to UNICEF Brazil’s fundraising and programmatic goals.
- Identify and assess opportunities for cross-channel fundraising, including innovative models such as corporate pathways to pledge.
- Conduct due diligence and coordinate with relevant departments, including Communications and Risk Management, to identify and mitigate risks associated with specific partnerships.
3. Engagement with Prospects and Partners
- Represent UNICEF at external meetings, events, and networking opportunities to promote the organization and engage potential partners.
- Develop compelling partnership proposals and lead negotiations to formalize agreements.
- Disseminate UNICEF’s global fundraising priorities, campaigns, and partnerships in a manner that is locally relevant and culturally appropriate.
4. Strategy Enablers with Supervisor Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal UNICEF teams to foster collaboration and drive innovative, cross-functional fundraising initiatives.
- Leverage internal and external networks to support the development of impactful partnerships and fundraising opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align local efforts with broader UNICEF fundraising strategies and offerings.

Minimum requirements:
Education: University degree in Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences or related field is required.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of one year working experience in fundraising, social projects, marketing or sales is required;
- Demonstrated successful track record in negotiating partnership agreements, grants or sales deals is needed;
- Strong networking skills with a track record of building mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders is required;
- Familiarity of corporate landscape in Brazil is required.
- Practiced communicator with demonstrated ability to condense information and communicate it in a well-structured and compelling way is needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are needed.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English and in Portuguese is required.
Desirables:
- Additional years of relevant experience are an asset.
- Experience working in or with the private sector is an asset.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
