Purpose of assignment:
Positioned within the Systems, Analytics, Partnerships Risk Management, Planning and Operations team (SARPO) of PPD and under the supervision of the Risk Manager, the Compliance and KM Consultant will review PPD compliance with Delegation of Authority and Resource Mobilization policies to make recommendations to improve related processes, and develop knowledge management resources for the negotiation of public sector agreements, maintain internal tracking tools, and develop donor-facing materials on risk management topics.
Scope of work:
- Review Compliance with Policies
- Conduct review of public sector agreements signed following the rollout of Delegation of Authority and Resource Mobilization policies
- Identify gaps and make recommendations for improved compliance, including process and workflow enhancements.
- Development of knowledge management resources on negotiation of public sector agreements
- Create internal guidance materials (e.g. one-pagers, explainers) on specific aspects of negotiating public sector agreements, including signature of agreement and consideration of donor conditions.
- Organize and update Sharepoint library and related documentation
- Update Partnerships Risk Management Sharepoint site with resources for PPD teams and country offices
- Support migration of trackers to Microsoft Lists where applicable
- Maintain and improve internal tools and communications
- Update and manage trackers (e.g. donor conditions, risks, legal requests)
- Schedule and support webinars and meetings, including drafting presentations and talking points
- Develop donor materials
- Adapt internal risk management content into donor-friendly formats
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a post-graduate university law degree in a relevant field of law (e.g. international law, commercial law)
- Work Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in in the practice of law in relevant field (e.g. international law, commercial law).
- Skills:
- Familiarity with donor conditions imposed by public sector partners.
- Experience conducting desk reviews for compliance and adherence with relevant policy and/or legal standards.
- Experience working with an international organization, especially the UN, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with UNICEF’s contribution agreements with public sector agreements, and/or with UNICEF’s Public Partnerships Division is an asset.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills with staff at all levels, and the ability to work with different stakeholders of the organization.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF.
