Job Description:

  • Develop and own the Retail Solution Architecture guideline and Architecture Centre of Excellence for Group and Countries
  • Perform and review architecture analysis and lead the team towards transformation of system design projects into sustainable system solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to integrate complicated business models with existing applications and databases; and define implications of change
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and manage changes to business needs, expectations, issues and risks
  • Understand and coordinate design across the multichannel retail landscape with business functions and IT
  • Can effectively communicate and facilitate key design decisions with senior business and IT stakeholders
  • Manage and strengthen partnerships with 3rd party vendors to develop a shared understanding of what needs to be delivered and how they can support Group solutions
  • Stay abreast of IT roadmaps and Retail Industry Best Practices; and formulate the implications for our business
  • Support business development life cycle by serving to identify and qualify business development opportunities
  • Adhere to group standards and drive compliance across the group
  • Responsible for training, hiring, promotions and performance management of direct reports and other duties as appropriate
  • Drive, partner and collaborate with Dairy Farm Architecture teams for overall direction and integration strategy efforts for new and existing applications, business strategies alignment and defines business requirements
  • Manage strategic and tactical delivery of enterprise data, business and BI/analytics services and ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across the enterprise including application stability and data integrity
  • Develop, enhance and manage enterprise application services, platforms and multiple domain teams in areas of data management, integration services and BI/analytics to enable continued growth, alignment with Dairy Farm’s strategic plan
  • Oversees the planning, integration and development of systems for supporting omni-channel and enterprise application services across various business units
  • Ensures SLAs are defined from the business facing groups and adhered to by each platform team
  • Ensure efficient service to business users by directing new software application implementations and enhancements. Deliver and manage the operational and application systems, and transition to support and sustainment teams as appropriate
  • Partner with PMO; participate in project request assessments to maintain enterprise applications alignment. Provide estimates (cost, duration) for enterprise application projects.
  • Participate in an IT review committee to establish IT standards, approve deviations and/or new requests. Coordinates with Architecture group to research new technology and takes position on where they are most appropriate for Dairy Farm’s IT environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above holder in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or relevant disciplines
  • A minimum 10+ years of working experience in sizeable and enterprise-class platforms within the architectural, planning, design, and implementation areas
  • A proven track-record using solution architecture practices by defining, driving and supporting application designs in a multi-country / multi-business environment
  • Hands-on technical experience of implementing a large-scale ERP including SAP
  • A strong and thorough understanding of retail, ecommerce, loyalty and analytics in an omni-channel setting is preferred
  • Experience of concepts, principles and implementation approaches of service oriented architecture including microservices
  • Played a key contributing role / Led the RFI/RFP selection process of new solutions
  • An ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstration of working in a matrix team - sharing knowledge, coaching and driving adherence to the application strategy and blueprint
  • Driven through change in a complex and challenging environment
  • Fluent communication skills in spoken and written English
