The Humanities and Teacher Education Division of Seaver College, Pepperdine University’s residential liberal arts college, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a specialization in Early American Literature beginning in August 2027. Candidates with additional expertise in composition, rhetoric, or grammar are strongly preferred. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability and preference for undergraduate teaching, an openness to conducting research with or mentoring undergraduate students, an active research agenda, a willingness to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines, outstanding oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ongoing commitment to the university's Christian mission. Responsibilities include teaching upper- and lower-division literature and writing courses in both the major and general education, including survey classes in American literature that extend beyond the candidate’s primary area of research.

Director of Digital Strategy & Broadcast Operations in Malibu Campus
The Director of Digital Strategy & Broadcast Operations is a senior leader within Pepperdine Athletics, responsible for setting the vision and execution of all digital, video, and broadcast initiatives. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Communications, the Director will oversee the production, distribution, and monetization of Pepperdine Athletics’ live events, original content, and emerging digital platforms. This position plays a critical role in shaping the Pepperdine Athletics brand, expanding audience reach, enhancing fan engagement, and maximizing exposure for Pepperdine’s 17 NCAA Division I programs. The Director will manage all broadcast operations, lead a team of staff and student workers, serve as the department’s primary liaison to external broadcast partners, and integrate content strategies across social, digital, and in-venue platforms. This position requires strategic leadership, independent judgment, and innovative thinking to elevate Pepperdine Athletics to industry-leading standards.
