Posting Summary:
Our Transformative Learning Technologies Lab (TLTLab) is seeking a lab assistant for an educational makerspace and research lab for the remainder of the spring 2026 term. A successful lab assistant has strong hands-on skills, experience using digital fabrication/ prototyping tools, as well as a passion for helping develop these skills in others. This role is part-time in nature and requires on-site assistance from 12:20pm - 2:40pm.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

• Develop and teach lab modules and workshops on digital fabrication tools and programming 
• Actively work with and provide assistance to students in the lab during scheduled office hours and one-on-one appointments
• Work with the teaching team to provide feedback on assignments, projects, and papers in a timely fashion

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with physical set up for course sections in the lab (which will occur between the hours of 12:20pm - 2:40pm)
• Expertise in tools such as 3D printing, 3D CAD, Laser cutting, Vector design, and Microcontrollers
• Experience in teaching lab modules for above-mentioned tools

Salary Range:

$25/hour
