Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Mathematics, Science & Technology is looking to hire a Program Manager, who will work as a key administrator in helping to organize and support an innovative, productive academic department. The Program Manager will work in the Department of Mathematics, Science & Technology (MST), which has 3 programs: Mathematics Education, Science Education, and Communications, Media, and Learning Technologies Design (CMLTD). The MST Program Manager will be supervised by the Director of Academic Administration and work closely with them on all aspects of department and program administration.

There are 3 administrative pillars to this job: (1) General department administration, (2) administration in support of the Department Chair and 3 Program Directors, and (3) administration of STEM/STEAM initiatives. Therefore, the MST Department is looking for a skilled administrator who has the following:

Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience
● Knowledge of software needed to perform primary job functions, like MS Office suite, Google suite, and various social media. Ability and willingness to learn new software, as needed
● Comprehensive office management and knowledge of staff supervision and development
● Knowledge of higher education institutions and culture
● Ability to multi-task and to work independently
● Familiarity with various forms of technology and a desire to learn, implement, and make improvements in new and existing systems
● Experience with budgeting
● Detail oriented
● Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
● Excellent judgment and proficiency at solving problems creatively, leading teams as needed, and advocating for students, faculty, and staff
● Candidate expected to liaise across programs, departments, and the College as necessary
● Experience with program management, administration, grant writing and/or educational and/or STEM/STEAM research
● Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in communicating about the department’s and programs’ needs and objectives
● Ability to work collaboratively across a large team in a collegial, energetic, and interesting work environment

Preferred Qualifications:
● Administration experience in higher education, particularly in working with faculty, students, and administrative staff
● Dedication and commitment to working in an international, inclusive, and diverse academic department
● Advanced degree in a related field, like education, organization & leadership, and STEM/STEAM fields

Salary Range: $51,200.00-$64,000.00
