Kenyon College invites applications for a two-year visiting position in the Environmental Studies Department beginning in July 2026. We seek a broadly trained earth scientist with interest in contributing to an interdisciplinary department and expertise in a range of fields, including (but not limited to) environmental geology, physical geography, climate science, or geochemistry/biogeochemistry. Teaching expectations are five courses per year (labs count toward this load), and may include Earth Systems Science, introductory lecture and laboratory courses, and new upper-level courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. The department has a strong commitment to faculty mentoring and to helping visitors achieve their career goals. Opportunities exist for collaborative research with students, including support for summer research. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. by the July 2026 start date.
