The Departments of Political Science and Environmental Studies at Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally-ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invite applications for a tenure-track position beginning July 1, 2027.  

Qualified applicants will have a strong teaching and research background in comparative politics, environmental politics, and international relations.  The successful candidate would be appointed in both Political Science (60%) and Environmental Studies (40%), teach established courses in the curricula of both departments, and contribute  upper-level courses on environmental politics and policy in their areas of expertise.  The teaching load is five courses per year, three in Political Science and two in Environmental Studies.  The search committee especially welcomes applications from candidates who could teach comparative politics courses for Political Science.  Candidates should demonstrate their commitment to a career in the liberal arts.  We will prioritize candidates with a strong record of teaching and research excellence; a commitment to student advising and mentorship; and plans to incorporate student researchers into their research programs.  Candidates also must have a Ph.D. by the beginning of the appointment (July 2027).
