Internal opportunity for a Senior Technology Risk Leader to join our Cyber Security & Technology Risk team as the Head of Risk & Compliance – Technology to drive the development of operational risk management strategies and controls assurance processes, including for controls delegated by business units to Technology. About the role
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Technology Risk leader to join our Cyber Security & Technology Risk team as the Head of Risk & Compliance – Technology to drive the development of operational risk management strategies and controls assurance processes.
In this key leadership role, you'll play a vital role in:
- Shaping a Winning Culture: You'll collaborate with the GM - Cyber Security & Technology Risk to ensure our Technology department has a strong control environment and is effectively managing risks and compliance obligations. This fosters an environment of trust and transparency for our customers, colleagues, and partners.
- Elevating Our Risk Management Strategy: As a Line 1 leader, you'll drive Sportsbet's approach to risk and compliance management, controls, and assurance. Your subject matter expertise will be invaluable in guiding control enhancements and mitigating key operational risks.
- Building a World-Class Approach: You'll ensure alignment with the proven policies and frameworks of Flutter Entertainment Group.
- You should have proficiency in integrated risk management across technology, data, cybersecurity, and emerging risk dimensions. Your understanding of the international regulatory landscape in emerging areas of technology will be crucial to this role. Experience in preparing for and responding to regulatory scrutiny is also essential. Furthermore, your ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory requirements to various stakeholders will be highly valued.
- You will be developing Technology Controls and processes across the group, supporting transformational projects, act as a Technology risk as it supports key business objectives and outcomes across the business.
- You must be able to deliver in environments under a lot of change, to be able to handle ambiguity and pull together a plan, socialize and sign it off and implement it. If you need to work within very strict structured environment then this role is probably not for you.
About You
- Broad Technology Risk Management Expertise: Hands-on experience managing risk within technology
- Sharp Business Acumen: A strong understanding of commercial considerations, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Regulatory Navigation: Proven experience operating in consumer-facing regulatory environments, particularly advertising and privacy.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Thriving in Complexity: Exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks across various departments simultaneously.
- Risk Management Frameworks: Solid knowledge of relevant technology, cyber and risk management framework design principles e.g. COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO standards.
- In-depth understanding of technology threats and mitigation strategies.
- Sound technical knowledge/experience in technology platforms and practices such as public cloud computing, networks, databases and applications, cyber security, AI/ML (or at least some of these areas) to oversee the mitigation of key of technology operational risks.
- Strong understanding of IT Cloud, infrastructure, operations, and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
