We are looking for our next National Visual Merchandiser for our Furniture Department!

In this role you will be accountable for merchandising standards are maintained across the country in line with corporate direction. You will be working with our store teams to create an attractively merchandised store environment, in line with our brand standards for an unforgettable shopping experience for our customers.

This is a full-time role, based out of our Head Office in Manukau, however travel is required nationally and a company vehicle will be provided.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the merchandising of personally assigned stores, ensuring they are presented to meet standards required, and assist to set up current promotions and catalogues in time for advertising. 
  • Manage the NZ Visual Merchandising team, delegating tasks and monitoring completion.  Undertake recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, and health and safety compliance. 
  • Manage the roster for Visual Merchandisers and ensure it provides the most cost-efficient use of the employees.
  • Prepare and provide training for in store employees and the Visual Merchandising team as required by the General Manager. 
  • Produce and maintain layout plans for stores.
  • Assist Proprietors with new store set ups and with the refurbishment of existing stores.

The skills and experience you’ll need to bring with you include:

  • At least 3 years merchandising experience in medium to large enterprises involving multiple business sites.
  • Excellent presentation and display skills.  An eye for styling and detail to present the brands to high visual merchandising standards.
  • Experience in overseeing numerous locations and working on an independent level.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written, and computer literate with Microsoft software.
  • Experienced in managing teams, driving and maintaining high performance. 
  • Full Drivers License required.
