The Opportunity
 
The Data, Integration & Analytics (DIA) Platform Lead will play a key role in driving the strategy, development, and operational management of MinRes’ Data, Integration, and Analytics (DIA) Platform. 
 
This role is a great opportunity for a highly collaborative, agile and motivated individual to lead a team to build robust, scalable solutions that unlock powerful data-driven insights and streamline operations.

Your primary responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and operationalisation of the DIA Platform, ensuring it aligns with MinRes’ business and strategic goals. 
• Work closely with senior business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the DIA platform delivers valuable, business-oriented solutions, including operational analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights.
• Oversee the operational performance and reliability of the platform. Proactively address operational challenges and work to optimise the platform's efficiency.
• Lead the ongoing enhancement of the DIA Platform by identifying areas for optimisation and innovation. Ensure the adoption of best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML integration.
• Provide technical leadership for platform engineers and ensure alignment with the company’s broader IT architecture.
• Lead the integration of new data sources, AI/ML models, and analytics capabilities into the platform.
• Develop clear and actionable reporting on the platform’s performance, upcoming initiatives, and alignment with strategic objectives for senior management and key business stakeholders.
 
What is required?
 
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent training and experience in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.  
• Certifications in cloud data engineering and architecture are highly desirable. Relevant cloud platform certifications (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and/or Azure) are a plus.
• Extensive experience leading technical teams and projects, with a proven track record of driving the development of large-scale data platforms and delivering business-driven solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Proven experience leading the development and optimisation of large-scale data platforms and implementing automation for data pipelines and AI/ML workflows.
• Strong experience in engaging with business stakeholders, understanding business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and communicating complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders. 
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
