The Opportunity
As s Senior shipping Document Officer, your primary responsibility will be to prepare full set of shipping documents and present to banks for negotiation under Letter of credit (“LC”) in line with compliance terms and conditions.
Reporting to Sales Support Manager, this role is essential in facilitating seamless international trade operations and supporting the financial processes.
Key Responsibilities, may include:
• Prepare drafts of shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other necessary paperwork for LC transactions.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure accuracy and compliance of all documentation with LC terms and conditions.
• Liase with banks on all LC, managing timelines and documentation matters
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international shipping regulations, LC compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Provide full sales operational support to the sales and marketing team, including any discrepancies or issues related to LC documentation
• Delivering our export products in an efficient and cost-effective manner to the clients
• Contract management and alignment to contracts
• Maintain and record keeping of export insurances and declarations
What is Required?
• Extensive experience shipping documentation, international trade, or a related field
• Experience in shipping documentation, international trade and incoterms.
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit processes, international shipping regulations, and compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (preferred)
