The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking a Contract Specialist to join our Contracts team on a 12-month fixed term basis. You’ll work closely with our Supply team, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and providing practical, commercially minded advice that protects MinRes's interests. Reporting to the Manager Legal – Contracts, you’ll have the support of an experienced team.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and purchase order terms, primarily for goods and services procurement.
• Collaborate across corporate departments including procurement, finance and insurance.
• Provide practical and commercially-minded advice on contract and risk management matters.
• Prepare letters, notices and other contract-related correspondence, and put together the paperwork needed to get contracts approved internally and signed.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in a law firm, in-house legal team or a commercial/procurement industry (resources, mining services or construction industry preferred).
• A law degree is an advantage, though not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of contract and commercial/legal issues and principles.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
