Our team is growing and we are currently seeking a General Manager of People and Culture - QLD to join us, working from our ISS office in South Brisbane, employed on a Full-Time basis.

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, Australia and New Zealand, this position will play a key role in managing both the short-term and long-term people needs of the business, covering all Divisions within the State of QLD.

 The Position:

  • The GM P&C will work with the State Divisional Operations teams to ensure compliance to all ISS People & Culture policy while driving retention solutions and supporting the ongoing development of our people
  • IR support to the infield operational leadership teams
  • Drive employee recognition and performance across all Key Accounts within the State
  • Ensure commitment and compliance to ISS People & Culture Standards
  • Drive a purpose led service culture that is inclusive, diverse and collaborative.
  • Provide an advisory service in all areas of People & Culture functions
  • Provide support infield at site-based locations as required
  • Develop and foster Client relationships  
  • Ensure Learning & Development offering is linked to the business needs and is delivered in contract

Minimum Criteria:

  • Experience in large multi-disciplined business in an operational P&C capacity  
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation framework
  • Union consultation skills
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Ability to train/present face to face to a large audience
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High level interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong Customer Service ethic and skills
  • Effective time management and organisation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships at all levels
