ISS Facility Services are encouraging Expressions of Interest from experienced horticulture experts, to drive operational excellence across grounds maintenance within South Australia in a full-time capacity reporting to the Regional General Manager and working closely with the site Key Account Managers.
The role will include the management of a hybrid delivery model incorporating both in-house and third party grounds staff, compliance and auditing of the comprehensive scope of services, while leveraging your expertise to support general grounds work and it’s seasonality, while driving visible improvement in standards of service to our key stakeholders. A strong focus on end-user experience and superior service quality as well as attention to detail will be key to success, along with strong stakeholder management skills.
You will provide effective leadership and management of the on-site ISS service delivery team and subcontractors to achieve the objectives and performance outcomes of the contracted services
Key aspects of the role:
General works and maintenance programs e.g. Maintaining the gardens by undertaking general gardening duties such as:
- Act as the point of contact and co-ordinator for all Grounds Services undertaken at the Sites.
- Maintain and coordinate or seek the support for the coordination of, Subcontractor works including inductions, verifying clearances (working with children check), licenses & accreditations (where possible), and completion of works, and duration at the Sites.
- Proactively engage with, and be accountable to, all key stakeholders to ensure all reasonable ad hoc requests are fulfilled within a timely manner and in accordance with the interpreted service specifications
- Respond to Emergencies in accordance with the Site Emergency Management Plan;
- Report faults and Service Failures to the Help Desk;
- Manage and deliver the services in accordance with the Site Operation Plans
- Update and maintain site operation plans as changes become apparent, as well as at the agreed review timeframes
- Provide the Key Account Manager and Regional General Manager with feedback on the status of all contract deliverables
- Ensure Sites are maintained, accounted for and kept in good operational condition, through implementing preventative maintenance programs in line with scope of services.
- Be innovative, collaborative and to be proactive in achieving KPIs and agreed targets and objectives
- Continuously review process for continuous improvement opportunities
- Manage ordering, receipting and issuing of materials and equipment and maintain the stock in accordance with ISS policies, procedures and systems.
What will you possess to be successful?
- Cert III in Horticulture essential
- Police Check (less than 12 months) or ability to obtain, is essential
- Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain, is essential
Key to the success of this role is the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships and have strong oral and good written communication skills for effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders, and
- At all times maintain a positive and approachable disposition with a can-do methodology to provide advice on issues of concern and ensure repairs and services are resolved wherever possible to the highest safety standards
- Must have a thorough and clear understanding of service delivery requirements, in particular the ability to interpret the performance standards, their timing and prioritisation
- Possess strong process driven values
- Be a critical thinker with effective problem-solving ability and have the maturity to know when to seek advice in order to ensure that the contract as well as related processes and procedures are not compromised
- Harness a workplace environment of values, culture, accountability and relationship management
- Manage the onsite operations team and subcontractors from end to end including delegation of work, daily scheduling and firm PPM initiatives
- Implement the Company’s policies and procedures and meeting the criteria of the QMS and operational plans
- Meet legislative requirements, especially in regard to OHS
