We are currently seeking an exceptional Training and Capability Manager to join ISS Facility Services to be employed on a full-time basis, based at Melbourne Airport.

As the Training & Capability Manager at ISS Melbourne Airport, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of training, assessment, and compliance programs for our aviation security workforce. This role is central to ensuring our team is qualified, competent, and aligned with industry standards—while fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. You’ll manage performance plans, oversee regulatory compliance, and support onboarding and development initiatives that contribute to an exceptional traveller experience and our clients’ commercial success.

The role will directly report to the General Manager  - Aviation Security.

The Position: 

  • Oversee delivery of training programs and maintain training records 
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate training and accreditation records across internal and external systems
  • Coordinate probationary staff files
  • Support ISS People & Culture with recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Manage the system for all recurrent assessment activities, assigning additional resources to tasks as required
  • Ensure that site training files for all employees are accurately maintained and kept up to date for the duration of their employment
  • Ensure all employees hold current identifications, clearances, licences as required for their role and duties
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections on records to ensure accuracy and currency
  • Self-Audit Program including timely period reporting
  • Follow process control documentation such as safe work method statements or work instructions
  • Assist in conducting assessments as required
  • Assist in delivery of training as required

Minimum Criteria:

  • Currently hold an ASIC or have the ability to obtain an ASIC (clear criminal history)
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Victorian Security Licence
  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (can be provided if not already held)
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training  (TAE40122, TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Approval as a Screener Accreditor from Dept. of Home Affairs (can be provided if not already held)
  • Sound reporting history/performance record as a workplace mentor with at least 12 months experience
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Strong leadership, commercial and organisational knowledge
  • Highest levels of personal integrity
  • Experience managing and delivering training within a large organisation
