The opportunity: Operations Manager (Key Account Manager) – Remote QLD | 5:2 FIFO or DIDO

Join a high-performing, values-driven team on an exciting growth journey! We’re seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead multiple Villages for a key client in Central Queensland. In this site-based role, you’ll oversee diverse teams across catering, cleaning, and village services while building strong client relationships and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end operations across multiple Villages, encompassing catering, cleaning, mine site cleaning, and accommodation services.

• Cultivate and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to drive service excellence and sustainable growth.

• Ensure operational efficiency and full compliance with ISS and client policies, procedures, and HSE standards.

• Achieve operational targets and budgets with full P&L accountability.

• Collaborate with ISS’s Operational Performance Team to drive continuous improvement and contract success.

• Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture focused on learning and professional development.

• Lead talent management through succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

• Represent ISS with professionalism and integrity in all internal and external engagements.

To be considered:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role in the resources, mining village, integrated services, or hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing client relationships at a senior level, ideally within a matrix environment.
• Proven ability to drive performance through clear operational planning, financial acumen, and strategic leadership.
• Strong commitment to HSE compliance and safety-first culture.
• Exceptional communication skills with a professional approach to service delivery.
• Inspirational leader who can engage and develop teams across remote operations.

Mandatory Requirements

• Open Manual C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain:

  • Standard 11 Coal Induction
  • QLD Coal Board Medical
  • Pre Employment Functional Assessment
