A major services organisation is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Analyst across Australia and New Zealand. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial performance, supporting operational leaders, and ensuring high quality financial administration across a diverse contract portfolio.
Working closely with operations, finance leadership, and client stakeholders, you will provide accurate financial insights, support month end processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and commercial outcomes. Fixed Term, 15 months contract. Onsite Melbourne CBD. 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Performance Optimisation

  • Conduct regular P&L analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with operational teams to drive commercial performance and embed financial discipline.
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools to support contract managers in achieving financial targets.
  • Participate in contract optimisation reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support process improvement initiatives across the operations portfolio.

Month-End Support

  • Prepare and review monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Analyse and report on P&L variances against budget and forecast.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with monthly deadlines.
  • Challenge discrepancies and support operational teams in resolving issues.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation and review of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Work closely with finance leadership to prepare management reporting packs.
  • Coordinate review sessions with operational stakeholders.

Cash Collection & Contract Administration

  • Support cash collection activities to ensure monthly targets are met.
  • Assist with vendor management in collaboration with the accounts payable team.
  • Prepare client invoicing and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor committed spend and participate in weekly reviews with internal teams.

General Support

  • Provide additional financial and administrative support as required by the ANZ operations team.
  • Assist with contract management tasks where needed.

Key Stakeholders

Internal: Operational leaders, Key Account Manager, National Contact Centre, Finance Manager, Director of Finance, divisional executives, and group finance teams.

External: Client finance teams, operational stakeholders, auditors, suppliers, and contractors.

About You

You are analytical, detail‑oriented, and confident working in a fast‑paced operational environment. You enjoy partnering with stakeholders, solving problems, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in a facilities management, services, or operationally complex environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships across varied stakeholder groups.
  • Experience presenting financial information to different audiences.

Desirable

  • CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience with Navision or Tririga.
  • Exposure to banking or large‑scale commercial environments.
  • Interest in operational delivery and contract performance.
