Join a high-impact team supporting a major resources contract in Central Queensland to support and strengthen workforce planning, scheduling, and reporting across our E&R portfolio.
The Role
This role plays a key part in ensuring workforce management processes are accurate, consistent, and aligned with Hours Management principles and business requirements. Acting as a conduit between Operations, People & Culture, Agency Providers, Payroll, and Finance, you will help drive better workforce decisions through data, insight, and system optimisation.
You will work closely with operational leaders and site teams to improve scheduling efficiency, reduce labour costs, and ensure workforce systems are effectively embedded and utilised across the business.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved labour planning and forecasting
- Provide guidance to operational teams on efficient scheduling practices to reduce overtime and third-party labour use
- Act as a trusted advisor to site and operational leaders on workforce management systems, processes, and policies
- Deliver reporting and dashboards on key workforce metrics, including labour cost, utilisation, and overtime
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution across workforce management systems and processes
- Ensure workforce systems and processes are aligned to agreed business rules and compliance requirements
- Contribute to system improvements, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide training and support to end users to ensure competency in WFM tools and processes
About You
You are analytical, commercially minded, and confident working with operational stakeholders in complex environments. You enjoy turning data into insight and are comfortable influencing others to drive better workforce outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience in workforce management, rostering, payroll, or workforce analytics
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present workforce data clearly
- Experience working with WFM systems (e.g. UKG, Kronos, Humanforce or similar)
- Understanding of labour cost drivers, scheduling principles, and operational workforce planning
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence operational teams
- A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to problem solving
Highly regarded:
- Experience in remote, site-based, or multi-site operational environments (e.g. mining, resources, facilities management, healthcare)
- Exposure to reporting and dashboard tools such as Power BI or similar
- Experience supporting system implementations or process improvement initiatives
