We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations at our education campus. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic education environment, enjoys supporting teams, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality service outcomes.

You’ll oversee day‑to‑day cleaning activities, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders.

About the Role

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of cleaning services on campus, ensuring all contractual, operational, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This role provides strong hands-on leadership, daily coordination of cleaning teams, compliance monitoring, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of service delivery across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and actively assist the cleaning team in daily operational activities.
  • Assist with periodic cleaning tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely and to standard, including:
    • Pressure washing
    • Carpet cleaning
    • Floor scrubbing
    • Window cleaning
  • Conduct staff onboarding processes, including inductions and site check-ins for all Placemakers.
  • Deliver and support ongoing training, including:
    • Safe Work Procedures (SWP)
    • Toolbox talks
  • Maintain strong relationships with university stakeholders and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE protocols, including risk assessments and incident reporting.
  • Identify service issues and ensure timely rectification, overseeing stock levels, ordering, and equipment management.
  • Maintain site documentation, including operations folders and chemical registers.
  • Support budget adherence for consumables and equipment.
  • Arrange replacement staff when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience supervising cleaning teams or working in a similar operational role.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Confidence in training, motivating, and supporting team members.
  • Understanding of service delivery best practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Asset Maintenance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Hold or willing to acquire a National Police Check and Blue Card.
  • Competency in HSE processes, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe workplace.
