The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced FIFO Head Chef to join our team on a 2:1 roster, flying from Perth to Karratha for full-time employment.
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within a large-scale mining village environment. Working closely with the Hospitality Manager, you will lead a diverse kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner services while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will be a proven Head Chef with experience managing high-volume catering operations in a mining village, remote camp, defence, healthcare, or similarly large-scale environment. You will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent food safety knowledge, and a demonstrated ability to manage budgets, food costs, labour, and inventory controls.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within a large mining village, remote camp, defence, healthcare, accommodation village, or similar high-volume catering environment
- Australian Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher)
- Demonstrated experience leading large kitchen teams and managing multiple meal services daily
- Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation, auditing requirements, and quality assurance systems
- Sound financial management experience including food cost control, labour management, budgeting, stock control, forecasting, and inventory management
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality food and service standards in a fast-paced environment
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months) or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Functional Assessment, and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Current Driver's Licence and photo identification
