About the Role
ISS is seeking an experienced and motivated Air Cargo Examination Supervisor / Team Leader to lead our Air Cargo Examination Officer team and support the delivery of industry-leading aviation security services at Perth.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of aviation security operations, ensuring all services meet or exceed contractual, regulatory, and client requirements. You will play a key role in fostering a high-performing, customer-focused team while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Air Cargo Examination Officers.
- Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations, client requirements, and ISS policies.
- Manage daily operations, rostering, and workforce planning.
- Conduct shift briefings, toolbox talks, and performance discussions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.
- Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
- Build strong relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
- Drive safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and employee relations matters.
- Champion ISS values and leadership principles in all aspects of the role.

- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (or equivalent).

- Experience in aviation security, transport security, or a similar operational environment.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.

- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within aviation, security, logistics, cargo, or a related operational environment.
- Strong understanding of aviation security regulations and compliance requirements.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
