Catering & Hospitality – Fuel Defence Personnel

Our catering and hospitality teams play an important role in supporting the daily wellbeing and operational readiness of Defence personnel.

Line Chefs

• Prepare and deliver quality meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner services

• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team

• Maintain high food safety, hygiene and presentation standards

• Support efficient kitchen operations in a high-volume environment

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualifications required

Head Chefs & Sous Chefs

• Lead and support daily kitchen operations and meal service delivery

• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality and presentation

• Oversee food safety and hygiene compliance

• Mentor, guide and support kitchen teams

• Contribute to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

Utilities & Bar Services

• Assist with food preparation and meal service

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Support dining, hospitality and function services

• Maintain cleanliness across kitchens, dining areas and shared facilities

• Restock supplies and assist with daily operational requirements

• Support bar operations where applicable

Cleaning, Housekeeping & Accommodation – Creating Comfortable Living and Working Environments

Our cleaning and accommodation teams help ensure Defence personnel have safe, hygienic and welcoming spaces to live, work and relax.

Cleaners, Housekeeping & Accommodation Services

• Clean and maintain offices, accommodation facilities, bathrooms and communal areas

• Service accommodation rooms and prepare facilities for incoming personnel

• Complete laundry, linen and housekeeping duties

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation

• Assist with guest services, reservations and accommodation support where required

• Work independently or collaboratively within site-based teams

Fitness & Recreation – Supporting Defence Health and Wellbeing

Our fitness and recreation teams help Defence personnel maintain their physical health, wellbeing and operational readiness.

Qualified Lifeguards

• Supervise aquatic facilities and maintain a safe environment

• Monitor pool activities and respond to safety incidents

• Follow aquatic safety procedures and operational requirements

• Support Defence recreation and wellbeing services

• Provide professional and friendly customer service

• Hold relevant lifeguard qualifications and certifications

Gym Attendants & Gym Instructors

• Support the daily operation of Defence fitness and recreation facilities

• Assist Defence personnel with facility access and equipment use

• Maintain clean, safe and well-presented fitness environments

• Promote health, fitness and wellbeing initiatives

• Provide excellent customer service

• Hold relevant fitness qualifications where required

Transport Services – Keeping Defence Moving

Drivers

• Safely transport Defence personnel between designated locations

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and safety checks

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational standards

• Follow transport schedules and site safety procedures

• Provide reliable and professional customer service

• Hold the appropriate driver's licence and relevant accreditations

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience, licences or qualifications for specialised positions

Previous experience is highly regarded, and training is provided for suitable candidates in applicable roles.

Essential Requirements

As these positions support Australian Defence facilities, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Australian Citizenship – mandatory

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required Defence security clearance, including Baseline Clearance where applicable

• National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

• Ability to complete pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening, where required

• Relevant licences, certifications and qualifications for specific roles

• Ability to meet Defence site access and security requirements

Previous Defence or military experience is highly regarded but not essential.
