About the role:

Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking motivated individuals to join us in the position of Security Guard at Wantirna Hospital (Wantirna) on a Casual basis. Located 50 minutes from the CBD, Wantirna hospital is a purpose-built repatriation Hospital servicing the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

  • Availability to work across morning (7am-3pm) and late shifts (3pm-11pm)
  • Deliver exceptional security and customer service to patients, staff, visitors, contractors, and members of the public
  • Perform access control, static guarding, routine patrols, and other security-related duties as required
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and customer-focused approach in all interactions
  • Contribute to the achievement of site KPIs by providing reliable, responsive, and high-quality security services
  • Advise occupants on access-controlled and restricted areas while identifying, reporting, and responding to health and safety concerns
  • Perform waste removal and the collection of linen and waste from wards

About you

  • Current security license in Victoria is essential
  • Certificate II in Security Operations is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in Security Operations, with experience in a hospital or aged care environment desired
  • Flexibility to work a rotational roster; including early mornings, weekends and public holidays
  • Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential
  • DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain, is essential
  • Evidence of immunisation for current influenza is essential
