The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and trade-qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team at Roy Hill Mine Village on a permanent full-time basis. This FIFO role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, flying from Perth.
This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong trade background and experience delivering high-quality maintenance services in remote operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include:
- Performing refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance works across residential accommodation and village infrastructure to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Servicing and maintaining:
- Split system air conditioners
- Room air conditioning units
- Evaporative cooling systems
- Cool rooms and freezer rooms
- Ice machines and drinking water fountains
- Refrigerated containers
- Dining room refrigeration equipment, including display fridges, cold wells, and beverage dispensers
- Assisting with the commissioning and installation of new refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
- Participating in an on-call roster as required
- Supporting other maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance activities where required
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Refrigeration Mechanic recognised in Western Australia
- Current National Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current WA Restricted Electrical Licence
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Sound computer literacy and experience using mobile maintenance management systems
- Current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months) or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, functional assessment, and drug and alcohol screening
- Valid driver's licence and photo identification
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a remote mining village or FIFO environment
- Working at Heights certification
- Forklift Licence
- Experience maintaining central chilled water systems, including:
- Hitachi air-cooled chillers
- Grundfos chilled water pumps
- Saiver air handling units
- Alerton building management controls
