The key accountabilities are the following:

  • Responsible for business development operations, including developing winning proposals, pitches, and promotional materials to support the group’s business; as well as coordinating with regional and local marketing departments of the firm to enhance marketing activities, seminar functions, and materials preparation.
  • Assist in the Key Client Program: researching and preparing background materials and fee analysis to support nomination of particular clients, active monitoring of activities and tracking, preparing and updating monthly reports and communication with key partners to secure representation of relevant partners, lawyers and practice areas and effective follow up post-events.
  • Help develop and execute local communications programs connected with the firm's strategic business development initiatives including drafting internal communication documents and success stories.
  • Support the implementation of Office/Firm marketing priorities as determined from time to time.
  • Participate in Practice Group strategy meetings and perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisors, the Management, and Practice/Industry Group Partners.
  • Attend outside marketing events and activities for promoting the Firm and for building relationship with clients or potential clients.
  • Assist with both internal and external training, including preparation of materials, coordinating within the Firm on training schedules and participants, and related activities.
  • Proofread, edit, and draft English language documents (legal and/ or non legal) to ensure that all documents produced by the Office meet the highest legal standard and are free of grammatical errors, and in accordance with the Bangkok office style guide.
  • Give feedback to staff on writing errors and provide tips for improving the staff's written English.
  • Assist lawyers in developing and updating lawyers' profiles/ CVs, capability statements and clause bank.

Qualifications / Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, communications, or law.
  • At least 1 -3 years experience working in a professional services environment. A previous background in business development or marketing & communications are advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Native English speaker is preferred, however non-native English speakers who have proven record of excellent English skill are also considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to influence and negotiate with others in all levels to meet agreed objectives.
  • Self starter who is able to demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude to their work.
  • Ability to perofrm at high levels and successfully deliver works in a fast paced changing environment, changing priorities, or work demands.
  • Effective time and work management with strong organization and planning skills in order to successfully handle multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with people across functions and offices, in all levels.
