The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Commercial Real Estate team in Brisbane.
This role involves opportunities to work on an exciting and diverse range of matters throughout Australia, focusing especially on delivering advice on Queensland matters and in the renewables space.
The Team
Our Commercial Real Estate Group assists major local and international clients in relation to their real estate investments and requirements throughout Australia, the Asia Pacific and beyond.
We advise private equity and institutional investors, fund and asset managers, property developers and financiers doing business across Australia and in offshore markets. Our practice encompasses a range of real estate asset classes and clients in industry sectors including technology, life sciences and renewables. We have also built a reputation for assisting large corporations and luxury brands to undertake and meet their specialised accommodation and facility requirements as well as developing outsourcing solutions. We are also renowned for our hotels practice and have acted on most of Australia’s largest hotel transactions.
Working closely with our global offices and our Hotels Resorts & Tourism, Construction, Corporate and Financial Services, Banking and Finance and Tax groups, we provide comprehensive legal services to our clients in Australia and across the globe.
What we're looking for
If you have at least 2 years’ post admission property law legal experience and you genuinely want to learn and build a legal career in the commercial real estate industry, then it would be great to hear from you.
- minimum 2 years' property law experience in commercial sales and acquisitions, commercial and retail leasing, and real estate due diligence;
- relevant experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred;
- a strong client service orientation;
- strong technical, drafting and commercial skills;
- excellent analytical, communication, and research skills;
- a commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail;
- an ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity;
- an ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for this relationship;
- an ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally);
- relevant legal qualifications; and
- a willingness to learn. The role will involve developing your ability to advise on matters throughout Australia, focusing especially on delivering advice on Queensland matters and in the renewables space.
