    • Procurement Specialist in South Orange

      The Procurement Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support the University's overall goals. The incumbent will ensure compliance with the established University Procurement Policies and Procedures. They will assist the Director of Procurement Services with the daily functions of the office. As this role interacts with all levels of the campus community and outside vendors to address procurement related inquiries, it requires an individual with strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Additionally, given the nature of the work, keen attention to detail, capacity to work within financial systems, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Finally, the Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in the careful stewardship of hte University's resources.

    • Adjunct Professor-Psychopharmacology in South Orange

      The Psychology Department at Seton Hall University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person course in Psychopharmacology starting January 2026. This 3000-level (i.e., upper division) course is required of students in our BS in Cognitive Neuroscience, and a potential elective for students in the Psychology major. Course Description and select learning objectives from the Catalogue: “A comprehensive examination of the mechanisms by which drugs interact with the brain and behavior, with emphasis on the role of neurotransmitter systems. • Describe the field of psychopharmacology and its relation to other subfields within psychology and neuroscience. • Explain how pharmacokinetic factors interact to determine drug bioavailability. • Identify the main classes of abused drugs, describe their mechanisms of action and their behavioral effects • Identify the major classes of drugs used in the treatment of major psychiatric and neurological disorders, describe their mechanisms of action and their behavioral effects “ In the Psychology Department, all new adjunct faculty are paired with full-time faculty mentors to help the individual develop their teaching through conversation and course observation. A Ph.D. in Physics or Applied Physics and a research specialization in Engineering is required.     • Assistant Professor of Cognitive or Behavioral Neuroscience in South Orange

      The Department of Psychology at Seton Hall University (www.shu.edu/psychology) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Cognitive or Behavioral Neuroscience (broadly defined) to begin Fall 2026. The successful candidate will have the skill to develop and teach courses within their area of expertise, as well as contribute to core courses within the psychology and neuroscience majors. The candidate will be expected to establish a line of neuroscience research with either human participants or non-human subjects that can involve undergraduate student researchers. About the Department Faculty in the Psychology Department have diverse basic and applied research interests and value high quality teaching and substantive service. The Department has approximately 350 psychology majors and offers BA and BS degrees, a minor, and a new and rapidly growing Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience major. Coursework emphasizes scientific thinking, with a broad range of basic, applied, and experiential learning offerings. We are a highly collegial department of 15 full-time faculty members with a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Many faculty have active collaborations with colleagues in other departments at Seton Hall, as well as collaborations with regional clinical and research facilities.
